Hello All,

I have been riding a new Suzuki Marauder 125 for 5 hours a week since August 2007, and with its 2nd service (2500 miles) I have just had the front brake pads changed by J and P's, to me this doesn't add up! surely they shouldn't need changing less than a year old??

Your thoughts and advice please?
Cheers
Phil

Pad life can vary depending on how your ride but 2500 doesnt seem to add up very well especially on a 125 as its not as if you'll be constantly needing to bring it down from silly speeds to wear them away that quick. It's fairly easy to check the life of your pads though as theres a groove on the pad, just stick your head under the calliper and you should see if the grooves not there anymore or getting low its time for new pads.

Only thing i can maybe think of is that if you've been riding through winter with all the crap on the roads, your brakes maybe seized abit from all the road crud hence the pads are not returning and wearing out quicker. But the garage should of pointed this out....
