I wish to wire up some sort of system so I can actuate a metal rod by pressing my horn (some sort of R/C servo?) With a switch so I can use the horn or this otehr device.

My bike is a ZX6R J1. Anybody have any thoughts on how to do this. I also have a Datatool Veto alarm, will this cause any possible problems due to the wiring?

what exactly is this for?? you legally have to have your horn, so useing that botton and doing away twith it would just be silly, you'd be better off wiring in another push button,
a servo from a rc car isnt very strong, and won't return by itself, so will require a forward reverse switch.

agree with hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmz, would be annoying if you needed your horn and another device went off, would be better to mount anoher switch on the handlebars as if you wanted to use an actuator then normally you need to wire it so it has a forward and a reverse... the alarm shouldn't make a difference as long as you aren't a muppet:)

why not just use a push solenoid simple on off action , you could double it up , ie a push solenoid which pushes the button on a bigger circuit with bigger magnets and pushes further/harder.
