So iv been debating recently to sell my TL1000r and get a car Crying or Very sad .
Then after abusing a GSXR750 for 5mins i have a rekindled love for all things powerful.
i am currently and more than probably getting an '04 ZX10r.

just looking for a bit of criticism and praise for the 18yr old loon Thumbs Up

You will regret getting a 1000cc IL4, too much power for the road, thus becomming un satisfying to ride.
Thought about a change of scenery.
KTM superduke ?
Ducati 999 or 749 ?
Honda SP1 or 2 ?
k6-7 GSXR750 ?

its a fair point but i want more power then the TL, i have abused it all over my local roads and just want more Twisted Evil .
im gonna miss the vtwin noise the most because i looked at sp2's.
but with £400 tpft on a zx10 at 18 it might be to much to say no to.

If you are riding it properly you shouldnt need more power, unless your after pure straight line speed, id get something like a ZX12 or a Busa.
A mate of mine had a k6 GSXR750, had it for a year and sold it for a K7 GSXR1000.
Proper regretted it as they are just too much for the road, now he has just bought a k8 750 again.
He is certain he is quicker on the 750 and its much more fun.

1000cc IL4s are only good for bragging down the pub.

you never followed me, Cool , joking aside
it needs to be quicker in all senses, and i need to be able to go left knee to right knee alot quicker without the tiny wobbles the tl gives.
i liked the k5 750 i was on but my TL beats it all over, so the next logical step is an il4 1000

Again a K5 750 is quicker than a TLR if you ride it properly, get a suspention set up to stop the wobbles.
When i had the full ohlins set up on my TLR is handled SO well, could hit a penny on the racing line with that bike so stable.
Road riding is for pussies, do a trackday then ill judge if you can ride properly Wink

Why did you get the RSVR then Wave?

Im guessing because it was a good deal, and because you fancied a change? To be honest, with a TLR with your full ohlins, I would have thought with your immense praise for it, you wouldnt want to change it?

Or maybe you just wanted to change. In which case Id like to point out that Davison is looking for a change, but a faster, more powerful and flickable (without balls out full setups) change. *shrugs* In which case a 750 would make the most sense, but if we all liked making sense, we wouldnt ride stupid fast motorcycles would we Wink

You make some good points though. And pictures. You whore Laughing

Must admit though, I will miss that V-Twin roaring into the distance.

I can still wheelie better than you dav Wink Mr. Green

Its newer smaller and lighter and with slightly more power, the TLR was UBER stable with the ohlins but it turned in slow.

At the moment the RSVR which also has ohlins turns in quickly, but its stabilty is poor, partly down to the fact the suspention hasnt been set up, but with full adjustable ohlins forks these should be ironed out easily.

I had the choice of 2 bikes when i was looking, both were litre twins, but just newer and smaller than the TLR.

Ducati 999S is a great bike, and id prefer it over the the RSVR, but they were the same price as my RSVR (which is a 2008) for a 2003/4 999S with 6,000 miles.
