I'll be interested/amused to hear what the gobshite Tatchell has to say on the matter (in fact, quite surprised he hasn't piped up yet - he usually has summit to say).

Interesting. I dont want to go into things but I know Greeks are anti gay, The old Greeks - My partner keeps quiet and Ive agreed to this.

If the lesley bains want to keep the term lesbian then we should probably all respect that, the alternative is to scary to contemplate.

Having had dealings with them (usually trying to gain access to the bar,) they are not to be trifled with.

Perhaps the islanders should think about a new name for their home... It might be easier... How about Furrycupopolus as a starting point...

I don't think you can say a whole race of people are anti gay.

The majority of people that live there probably aren't fussed and just want to live a normal life.

I can understand that, I used to go out with a greek bird when I was at school, she couldn't even let her old man know she had a boyfriend, let alone when she turned lezza (which has nothing to do with me and she was only the second ex bird of mine to turn lesbian)

I put that down to them both knowing they were never ever going to get a better bloke than me so rather than try they just admitted they had already had the best and turned dyke. Makes sense to me.

I have friends who are lesbians and they rather like the term

'Women In Comfortable Shoes'.

Who cares what Lesbians call themselves as long as:-

1) they are happy

2) can I watch.
