I thought i would write a small autobiography on myself since its my 21st birthday tomorrow and i have been a memeber on this site for 4 years now, so i thought that would be long enough for a LONG story on my 5 years riding.
I never intented to get a bike in the begining, i just saw getting a
50cc scooter as a way of getting off our ever declining public transport system and the endless trouble i ran into on a council estate i lived on in Croydon.
Bought a 50cc Peugeot Speedfight 2 for £600 which to me was loads of money as i was only earning £50 odd a week.

https://w1.bikepics.com/pics/2005%5C02%5C23%5Cbikepics-297202-800.jpg

I went down the usually path at 16 not knowing any better and added a few go faster parts like exhausts and 'racing clutches' to no avail, it was still slow, i craved speed and with my 17th birthday approaching i found myself craving the infamous Aprilia RS125, not knowing alot about it or even what a 2 stroke was, i bought one on May 1st 2005.
The bike was bloody quick and i learned all about bike handling here, also went on my First BCF meet a few weeks after my 17th where i first met G, Bendy and at the time YamsR6 now know as Sparks! (he sucked at wheelies then).
G on my RS125
https://w1.bikepics.com/pics/2004%5C09%5C12%5Cbikepics-210565-full.jpg

I think this was the first time when i really started to enjoy biking, i really enjoyed group riding and also realised i wanted to do my bike test and get a real bike, it was a matter or days untill i booked my theory test and then my real test, coudlnt afford alot of training, only had enough money for 1 day training, but i took the plunge and even though i failed ever mock test during the training sessions i passed with 3 minors.
Didnt have alot of money, definatly not enough to buy a bike, but then out of the blue my gearbox blew up on the RS, after 4 months of ownership luckly still in warrenty, so i got to go to the shop and choose a bike for the chosen cost of £2300.
There was alot of debate on what to get for a first big bike, should i get a 600 or 400, my riding at this point was notirously careless and was advised by most of BCF not to get a 600 for my own sake, so i bought a 400 instead a 1988 CBR400 NC23, in Rossi Rep colours.
https://w1.bikepics.com/pics/2004%5C09%5C12%5Cbikepics-210558-full.jpg

When you come from a 125, this is the best feeling in the world, words cannot describe the speed difference and power delivery between the two, but i was happy for quite a while on this bike but it wasnt going to last for long as my first crash was going to happen soon, and on camera.
Was shooting fly by videos outside my house, when another bike saw me hooning then tried to race me, as i went to turn into my house (on a main road) i did a small stoppie, and this other bike pelted into the back off me and my dream machine paint job 400 was sliding down the road, ripping the exhaust clean off.
Thus is the transformation of CBR400 into the known Deathrace, as ive said before didnt have alot of money then so corners were cut everywhere on cost to get the bike back on the road, safety was sacrafised.
The bike went downhill from then on, did a brands trackday on it which was pretty good.
https://www.picman.co.uk/data/20050509ESSBRA20050511/3%20INT%20GRP/114/_DSC3143.jpg

but didnt do much good for the bike, the forks seals started to leak and i coudlnt do anything to replace them, there was at times so much oil on the front disks that the brakes took a while to work.
Found a bent pair that worked for £20 and fitted them to tour scotland on a last minute holiday with M1ke on his ZXR.

I found i had a great love for touring and trackdays, these still are my favorite things to do on bikes.

https://img84.imageshack.us/img84/7276/scotqa9.jpg
https://img169.imageshack.us/img169/492/dscf00253nphf4.jpg

With the bike getting more and more crap, and me getting more and more stupid in my riding, i eventually crashed it enough to end its days, BCF ridout took a corner a bit too quick and it suddenly tightening up causing me to go wide and hit raod crap which caused a spectacular highside into a hedgerow near boxhill.
I was fine, and i could ride the bike away but it was never the same again, it had take a good 5 bins and it would just cost so money to even get rideable i had to go back to getting the bus.

Then a landed a job at Royal mail as a postie, money was alot better than i was on and it was full time (6 days a week), there was a huge debate on the forum at the time about how i shouldnt get a fast bike as look at what i did to a bike with 60 odd BHP.
I didnt listen and got a 2002 GSXR750 with probably about 125 at the wheel, at 18 thats alot of power, but this bike didnt get the same fate as the 400, infact it taught be to appreciate speed and because you didnt need to ring its neck to ride it, you got the same satisfaction of speed at a lower rev and speed.
I trackdayed this bike at Silverstone about 3 weeks after i got it, which again was brilliant fun and i feel i was really starting to learn how to ride a bike properly, safer smoother and ultimatly faster.

After a year as a postie and a pretty awsome wage for my age comming in, i had money to burn, which was probably a first in my whole life, ive always looked at Ducatis in awe, the looks, the heritage and the sound of the exhausts with the dry clutch was music to my ears i just had to have one.
Probably the sexiest bike ive ever owned and at 19 it was a true privilege to own.
2004 Ducati 749 S, with 800 miles on the clock, Termi exhausts, Marchesini wheels the whole package.

The most memorable thing i did on this sexy beast was touring Scotland on it, which earned me a place in the back on Superbike mag for such a feat, cant say id ever tour on a bike like that again though.

https://img170.imageshack.us/img170/9523/dscn0079oi1.jpg

When i got back, and the Ducati getting more and more mileage i thought it was time to chop it in, and maybe get another revvy bike, i heard lots of good things about the new CBR600RR which had been updated from the 03-04 models, i deceided to get one of these, which turned out to be a bit of a mistake.
https://w2.bikepics.com/pics/2007%5C07%5C12%5Cbikepics-959922-800.jpg
The bike was good to ride and handled well, i expected Honda build and reliabilty from it, and had the chance to go round France and Italy on it, so i did, it rode suprisingly well and had pretty awsome MPG for a 600 sports bike and the fact it was so revvy didnt matter as i didnt really have any traffic to run into and racetrack roads to use it on, brilliant fun.

On my return to the UK, i found i didnt enjoy the CBR anymore, you really did have to ring its neck to make power, if you didnt it was boring, but if you did you would probably crash as in the SE of UK we just dont have to space or roads to use a bike like this to even 30% of its capabilty, it became unsatifying to ride and even more so, when i look the fairings off to service it i was horrified.
The Build quality was appauling, every single rubber gromit thing the fairings bolts screw into had fell apart, and the bolts were as soft as cheese, Honda build quality it seems is a thing of the past.

Getting older now and am looking to move out and feel i can save money by getting a cheaper bike and whacking the money saved into a saving account, so i did picked up a TL1000R for £2500 and sold the RR for £5000, i think i got a bargain on this bike, full ohlins, full Yoshimura system, harris rearsets.

https://img74.imageshack.us/img74/7674/dscn0783dd0.jpg

Huge Huge bike but it handled so well, turned in slowish but was so steady the weight didnt matter and once i got used to it, i could 'almost' chuck it around like the RR.
Took a chance and booked a 4 day spain trackday, so chucked on some race fairings and sent her out there.

Categena was AWSOME fun on the TLR, and my track riding has come on heaps since then, even got to have a play with current BSB rider and Macau 8 hr champ Steve Plater who after a lap or so of being up his arse showed me why he gets paid by powersliding out of a right hander then fucking off.
Unfortunatly on the afternoon of the last day, on a fast left hander my crap immobiser cut the ignition and unsettled the bike caused me to go off the track and into the rocky mud, blowing a fork seal.
https://img170.imageshack.us/img170/6943/picture001eg6.jpg

Now for the current bike, i sold the TLR in March and bought the RSVR 3 weeks ago, my reasons were the housing market was in a mess and this bike (which is a 08 model) came up for a bargain price and with only 52 miles on the clock, trecked upto dark 'Boro to get it and rode it back during that crazy snow storm we had a few weeks ago which was probably the worst ride ive done in my entire life.
So far so good, Aprilia as a manufactuer are absolute shite but i believe with a good suspention set up this can be my best handling bike yet.

Missed a few bikes out, only as they have been used as commuters or i just ran out of space, sorry for the crap English also never was very good at writing essays Razz.
Special thanks to G,Bendy,Korn,Marjay,Joe,Jay12329,Hetzer,Tatters,M1ke,Shaun,Fazed,R6Jonny, Marcatate,Dom_,Michael J,Yoko and many more for the help over the years and the good times.

Its an exellent bike, i just fancied something a bit more tarty and with a bit more torque, dont think of the 750 Gix as a baby 1000, think of it as a big 600.
Because they are just like a 600 in the way you have to rev them all the time, but with a bit more top end kick.

I went from a 400 to that 02 750 and had no problems.
600cc bikes are bad for road riding.
