Hi

Forget the V8 bikes, some American company makes a jet powered bike. Very quick (in a straight line).

As to the R1 vs 996, difficult choice. The 996 is ugly (personal opinion) and everywhere, the R1 is just everywhere. Both are quicker than me. At the end of the day I would probably choose something a bit silly just for fun (like a Bimota Tesi or a Honda NR750)

All the best

Keith

I love the styling of Ducatis, they all look so sweet, and the 996 is seriously nice Smile

Yea the nsr does look like the nr but i'm glad they put twin head lights on it...and lost that stupid oval piston arrangement.

I see that triumph have made a 2.2 liter cruser, with twice the torque of a blade...Wonder how fast thats gonna be 0-60

yeah, i read that in MCN. BEAST!!!

I'd rather go for the drysdale 1L V8 arrangement. it's more sporty but it's also got a very small block V8! :D

As far as I can see the only reason to get a crusier would be if it had a fuk-off great V8 in it... I can remember a magazine article a while ago saying that the Boss Hoss had 1 - 2 second 0-60 times... having a large car tyre (illegal in the UK though) probably helps.

Quote:

Oh yes, you heard me, once again i have changed my mind, the only reason i wanted or was 'told' to get a car, was because i can pick people up... fuck em, i wanna be alone and fast!

Having a bike's great for going out to pub/clubs/parties/etc.; you're never gonna be asked to be the 'designated driver', so you can always get as intoxicated as you want.

Hi

Most locks are rather too easy to break. They will put off a joyrider, but professional scum will get past them. With a disk lock they can just lift the bike into a van, or if they are really desperate the nasty way of dealing with a lock is to use liquid nitrogen on it, the lock gets very cold and brittle and so shatters when hit with a hammer.

Not sure what the solution is. Tracking device?

All the best

Soz but this is wrong its based on the Honda cbr, its exactly the same jst scaled down a bit thats why the NSR is heavier than other 125.

if u look closely at a nr pic, ull see that the fairing parts and parts of the rear cowl are from the nr, the only thing from the CBR6 were the paint schemes.

the cbr and nsr realy dont look the same, the nsr has fox eyes the cbr doesnt, we have 2 round lights at the bak the cbr doesnt.....

list goes on. sorry mate ur wrong this time.

The NSR got an Update around 1994 and looking at the CBR and NR i personally reckon the designers were more inspired by the NR than the CBR.

The NR was a bit of a concept bike from what i hear. It had the oval pistons, Carbon fiber composite bodywork, a titanium tinted screen and the complicated exaust system. £38,000 new apparently..For that much i think i could love with out them extras.

One time I forgot to take the disk lock off my back wheel. Drove away then bang! Look behind me and see my disk lock in pieces on the ground. Great quality obviously! It had jammed under the swing arm(or whatever u call it) and snapped off. It was only a little dented tho but luckily the brake disc wasnt bent.
By the way Summy, did you put that black tyre paint on your Pirellis? They look very black!
