To start with the zip between the jacket and trousers tore. Not a good start if I had been sliding rather than rolling.
A few zips went as well, which again could have been a lot worse if I had been sliding.

The armout etc seems to have done it's job though.

I have had my leathers for almost two years and believe me they have been used and abused alot. They are Dianese and I have no complaints all the zips are fine they are a nice fit, they are comfy and I wouldnt change them for anything. So I guess it depends on the person really. Cool

Have you rolled down the road at around 50mph in them? In the end *that* is why we get leathers Smile

G did you complain about yours? Did they get replaced? I would take them back and point out what happened. Do you still have them?

I do, and am still cotemplating making a fuss.

However in the end they are sold as 'one use' seeing that I wasn't injured due to rolling rather than sliding, they also have specific bits in their warranty about not being liable for injuries while wearing I think.

Rot! I have met you remember so that doesn'rt wash with me at all old chap.

Stick your chin out, march in there and tell them that the item you have doesn't costitute Dianese quality that they claim. You think Dianese would like to here you telling anyone who will listen about how shit their leathers are?

Dianese in my experience (also Kushitani) do listen and are concerned about what their customers think of their products. I am sure they will sort it.

But you will only know if you push on forward with a complaint. I mean, for crying out loud G, Thats why we wear the damn things, for protection. If they aren't up to the job they were purchased to do then they are in breach of your statutory rights.

'Not fit for purpose'.

Do it, I know you can and you know you can...

Most leathers aint actually sold as protective equipment, so you cant use the 'not fit for purpose' thang. Confused

Hmmm then that is not a good thing McJ. The term 'motorcycle clothing' probably covers a multitude of areas.

Well why don't you, G, try it anyway and see how you get on, Like I said. If you don't try you will definately get nowt.

Any one else think of another way to approach this then?

In most cases I thought you had to return the stuff to where you got it from (Riossi), so I was considering going in and starting shouting untoil someone either sorted me out or threw me out... in the end it will probably cost them more in lost sales if they have an angry customer standing there shouting about how shit their shop is Smile

(that comment was just me taking the piss out of myself generally rather than this particular situation Confused Smile )
