Yamaha FZ6 S2 crash bungs

what tool is it that I need to take off the nut thing that the crash bungs go on to? It looks like I'll need some sort of giant allen key? Does anyone know what tool it is I need?

A giant allen key? , have you tried putting a couple of nuts on a bolt and using that as a giant allen key? , tool places wanted £13 for a 14 Allen key I said forget that and bought a nut and 2 bolts , costing me 17p+VAT, and use that to undo some massive allen nuts.

The other solution is to use a hack saw to cut into the thing that screws into your fairing cut it in about 1 centimetre , hammer in a big fat flat head screw driver and then use a fat adjustable spanner on minimum setting to undo the bolt.

I had to do this a few days ago with my CBR the LH side bolt which screws into the frame came out peachy and easy.

The RH side rounded off , and wouldn't budge, so I angle ground it to put a big steel bar in the end to unscrew it, it didn't work the flanges bent. so I did the above and hammered it in , while putting a jubliee clip on the outside to prevent it from splitting,

It came out with one twist.

This of course ruins the bolt that you are undoing but since you are sticking a bung in it no bother...
