Cheaper and easier to sell your YZ and get one that's already road registered than to register yours.

And errrrr, if you want to put it on the road why do you want to tune it further? All you'll do is shorten the service intervals, if you want more power then get a bigger bike. Thumbs Up

It depends how mechanically minded you are. You'll need paperwork to show where the bike came from and when it was originally made. You'll need to fit wiring for brake lights along with switches on the levers, presume yours doesn't have any of that stuff on the wiring loom? You'll need a not so loud exhaust. You'll need road legal tyres.

Go do some reading up on the SVA test to see what you'd need to do.

It'd be much easier to sell yours and buy one that's already road registered. You'll also then get stuff like headlights which are useful. Wink

Yeah wouldn't mind a 450 but there expensive when there on the road. When i pass my A2 i will try get it on the road but if not i will just
get one thats on the road. But i do like the challenge of getting it on the road myself. Thumbs Up

I suspect it will be quite a challenge if you try and get it further tuned Smile - as they are in a fairly high state of tune to start with, if anything I would expect you to be looking at detuning it for the road, rather than making it less reliable with shorter service intervals.

Incidentally, if you want 'day time only' it's much easier, but a lot less useful if you want to use it as a means of transport.

If your money is tied up in this, it would seem to make more sense to sell it and maybe buy a cheaper road bike along with a cheap crosser if you still want a motocross bike and can't make do with a trail one.
