MZ the East German motorcycle engineer has had its plug pulled after investors pulled out, and it will cease to trade, the guys who made 2 smokes half decent are to be consigned to the history books.

bad news if you've bought one then, hens teeth and parts seem to come to mind for the near term future.

They were bought out by some Korean firm but MZ continued not to make a profit and by coincidence the German state funding for MZ also ends at the end of the year. So the Koreans decided to pull the plug (asset strip anyone )

However, as with anything, never say never.

real shame, was recently in cuba and they were all over the place - great bikes and apparently can run for ever with no maintenance at all.
