Whit!

Bike £750 (which I'll probably get back)
Clothing inc helmet £260
CBT/TEST etc £250
Repairs over 2 years £200 parts, do the work myself.

If you defray the cost of the bike its not much more than £700.

Rain suits, scala rider sets, tail packs, knee/elbow guards and protective undershorts (are they for if you go to fast and crap yourself? Wink ) Are these items all necessary? (I'd really like to know what protective undershorts are for... Confused )

Seriously though, you guys must be gucci bikers.

Thumbs Up

Haha, I have to agree. My bike has a datatool system 3 (already fitted when I bought it) and apart from that I've never even bought a disc lock, but then I live in a fairly low crime area and its in a garage at night, although thats only recent - used to leave it by the side of the house. I dont sit there worrying about it though - if it gets nicked it gets nicked - thats what insurance is for.

Plus...

It`s dead quiet where i live and low crime but i don`t let that lull me into a false sense of security. If thieving fucks want nice things where do you think they go looking for them??...nice places that`s where.
Living in a nice house on a nice estate doesn`t mean you can afford to get lax with security.....imo

gsxrmick wrote:

hell yeah.Safety and security are the top 2 for me.I don`t wanna be that guy that wakes up one morning to find his garage door hanging off the hinges and his bike nowhere to be seen.....and i don`t wanna be that guy who spends months and months fixing up after a slide down the road either.
Both situations might never happen....but if they do i`d rather be covered. Wink

P.S...my bionic underpants are awesome

I would hate too see how much I`ve spent on biking tbh.

Would easily be around the 4-5k area.

Helmet - £60.

That is all.

Was given a one piece alpinestars suit but have grown out and don't have the cash for a new spark plug let alone new gear.

However, my bike will be working soon hopefully and then I will be on £8 p/h Very Happy

Some of there are approximate

First bike: 2200
Exhaust + 2 Cylinders + Carb + Filter + Crank: 500
Rear tire: 90
Total mechanic bills: 700
Second bike minus what I sold the other one for: 850
Chain and sprockets + Lube: 55
Brake pads and liquid: 25
Cylinder + Gaskets + Bobbins: 300
Transmission work + parts: 400 (not payed yet)
First helmet: 300
Second Helmet: 230
First gloves: 30
Second gloves: 40
Third gloves: 40
Fourth Gloves: 170
Spine protector: 100
Boots: 200
Textile Jacket: 200

TOTAL: 6430 POUNDS. That is fucking insane I've only had a 50 and a 125!!! Fine, some of the stuff was given to me, but most was out of my pockets. No wonder why I have no money.
And nobody has mentioned all the fucking petrol and oil that we spend money on. Fine, petrol is fine, but I've spent at least 100 quid on 2t...

I hate you. This was a reality check I wasn't ready for

Na I had to stop I got over 20,000 and I had not even added all the bikes and gear.

I could of bought a house out here if I wouldn't of bothered with bikes. Mad

Oh well, still having amazing fun with them.
