Thi is a simple question really but there`s a few things i need to tell you about first so you get the full picture.

I`ve got an 06 6rr that i bought 2nd hand with 2k on the clock and it had a safety check/mini service by the dealer i bought it from before he delivered it.
He didn`t fit any new parts to it but just made sure it was road worthy and able to pass an MOT.

The problem:
The front brake doesn`t feel as sharp as i think it should. The last i bike i had was a new 07 rs125 and the brakes were proper lively on that so i thought the 6rr would be the same ,if not better.
Dont get me wrong though...it stops just fine BUT i noticed yesterday that when i braked fairly hard coming from speed and pulled the lever in further than i usual do the front wheel felt like it was juddering/wobbling a bit and there was some feedback up through my arms...a sort of "vibration" for want of a better word.

Does this mean it needs new pads....or is it normal to get that sort of vibration under heavy braking?

calipers off pads out and overhaul the brakes? , while you are at it check your discs aren't warped, to get a firmer brake bleed them and get even the tiny bubbles out, PITA but works.

You could try taking your existing pads out and rubbing them down with wet and dry paper. This would clean them up and help restore your braking performance if the pads are glazed.
