Race fairings on the road?

Hi folks,

If you were to ride a bike to a trackday wearing race fairings, what are the legal requirements?

Obviouslly without a headlight you can only ride during good daylight, but what about indicators and mirrors?

I usually use the services of a trailer but it would mean I could do a lot more if I could ride there myself, without having to arrange to borrow vehicles and whatnot.

Obviouslly in the event of a major crash I would need the trailer anyway, but with the worlds biggest crash bungs that's not overly likely.

I opted to put the seat unit back on for a brake light but left the front track fairings on.

Never had a problem.

Wouldn't do it to be honest, I did have full track fairing on my bike, too brittle for the road, lugs cracked off from hitting to many bumps on englands lovely roads, the seat section cracks on certain points due to being brittle aswell. Thumbs Down
