Apologies if this has already been covered somewhere - I did do a search but didn't find it.
Following on from the speed camera hidden in horse boxes in Wales, Derbyshire are now using vans disguised as builders vans.

Wouldn't say builders van, more like campervan, espicially with the GB sticker and towbar
Also like the way they haven't informed the DVLA of the colour change |

Riding down through Bath from Cardiff today, saw a couple of vans parked just in front of the speed lines you get on the road for stationary speed cameras on 2 seperate occasions on the A46. So reading this it could be something to do with this.
But then again I don't think thats too bad because the lines are there anyway, you're obviously meant to be looking for road cameras around them anyway so don't mind that ____________________ Bike - '98 Yamaha YZF600 Thundercat Pics

Yes I saw that post about Horse Boxes in Wales. Mine was about disguised vans in Derbyshire.

All these speed traps.........someone's gonna cause a pile up by staring at their speedo rather than the road.
Oh wait, it happens every day.
Like most organisations, as long as the intended result is met then the side effects are often overlooked. I wonder, has there been an increase in people being run over?
If a road is dangerous enough to warrant cameras then the only ones in use should be the average speed ones that work over distance. IMO they are the most effective. |
