Front Brake Clunk

I've recently started experiencing a clunking noise when using my front brake. A week ago i took my bike in for a plug in the rear tyre and asked the mechanic if he knew what it could be.

He tried using the front brake and rocking the bike back / forward and couldnt see anything noticable, and said he would take it for a spin and check it out. Again nothing noticable? (he could hear the noise though)

I've got a service booked in at a honda dealer next week who i'll ask to take a look at it.

Does anyone know what it could be?

(The bike only has 5.5k miles on the clock - CBR 600 F)

Spring retaining clip missing on brakes ? Would allow pad to move enough to clunk.

Floating discs floating too much? Though that is normally noticeable when rocking the bike back and forth.
