Hi folks Smile

I recently bought a Superbyke RBP 125 after riding a Yamaha 125 DT for 4 years ... (I de-restricted this myself)

The problem is I don't know how to de-restrict this bike, and was wondering if you chaps could help me, thanks.

Thumbs Up

Yes it's a 4 stroke ..

How would I get it to better speeds if I can't de-restrict it ?

Is there anything I can drill away like on my previous bike ?

What about a bigger exhaust ?

I'm not an engineer and don't actually have that much knowledge on these things please help, ta.

Best bet is to sell it and get a faster bike, like, err, a DT125? Smile Razz.

Basically, it was made as a slow bike and to get near the power levels of a DT125 you would have to be spending more than the cost of buying a DT125 in the first place.

*DT125 used as an example just because you mentioned them, obviously there are quite a few bikes that have more power than your new bike!

Sorry, I looked for the 'useless' option but there was none it then must of clicked one Confused

I'm still trying to sell a car I have, but i'd like to keep this bike for a year at least, would an exhaust or something help me get some more speed ??

I have got it to 82 mph, which in reality is crap compared to my older bike which I had to 90+ (yamaha DT) so I just need a bit more Wink

You wont get much power cheaply and nt much more with lots of cash but there are a few things you can do. Clean up exhaust welds, head pipe usually has welds affecting smooth flow. Match the carb manifold to the head, usually gasket and mismatched. A more free flowing exhaust can also be bodged on and a free flowing air filter used either a cone or made up foam with concurrent airbox opening. Also a larger carb can give more power, 24-26mm.

you can de-restrict them becuz myn is they are in da carb and sum tyms in the exhaust if you take the carb out and the exhaust they are behind them

Way to drag up a 2 1/2 year old thread. And you can't de-restrict a 4 stroke 125. It just isn't possible as no company restricts them in the first place.

Come back when you can actually construct a readable sentance you berk.

A DT topping out like an Rs 125? I'll believe it when I see it.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
