Does it have a side stand cut out switch to stop you riding off with the stand down?

I'd be looking at that if it does.

There used to be one on my 125 years ago??

There is(or on mine there was) also a switch on the clutch lever as well that wouldn't allow it to start sometimes.

I haven't seen a Jap bike made after the mid 1980's that didn't come fitted with a sidestand idiot switch. If there isn't one there, I'd suggest it's been removed and bypassed. Maybe the bypass has failed?

Is your neutral light working?

My rs125 did that sometimes, was embaresing in a busy petrol station or something like that when you put it in first and it just cuts out, lol.

Turned out to be dodgy side stand ( actually fell off one day ) replaced that and the problem never happened again.

The wires will have been pulled out of the switch and twisted together.
