On my ER5.

After a goodish run on the bike, it is quite difficult to change gears from 1st to neutral and vice versa.

For example did about 35miles this lunch and when I stopped the bike, I couldn't physicaly get it from 1st to Neutral. Anyway I just stopped it in 1st.

On going back to the bike (4 hours later), I could kick from 1st to Neutral straight away.

Its done this before and seems to happen after a good run.

There's enough engine oil in (perhaps needs a change 2K - 3K ago?).

Gear box? Could be

Clutch??

Any pointers given appreciated.

Thanks

I have that if the bike gets hot, I agree an oil change is definately a good start. Someone on another forum suggested to me to check the routing of the clutch cable as if it come close to the engine it will get hot and stretch.
