 |
|
My CBR600 FS (95) has gone all limp around the 5-6k rpm mark. It sounds like a flatulent hippo after a curry, but if you throttle back, it clears up after the 6k mark.
I was willing to put with it until the next service (It's done 14, 600), but tonight it stalled a couple of times coming home.
I changed the filter at the weekend in case that was the problem, but it didn't help. The workshop don't have any space for 2 weeks...is it worth using Redex to try and clean it up, or should I wait for the pro's?
cheers
p.s. Some nice chap on a speed triple stopped to make sure I was ok... cheers fella! ____________________ You can't polish a turd (but a spot of Fabreeze will work wonders)

All sorted now...
The bike spent a day at the Dynojetters...here's what they found,
a) Wrong size jets
b) Wrong position
c) vaseline in the sparkplugs!!!
So that was fun then...cost my a small fortune but all sorted now.
It must have been dodgy since I got the bike because the ride in today was great, tons more power, no "flat" area's, all fine and fluffy (except for the rain )
Thanks for trying to sort it guys..appreciated ____________________ You can't polish a turd (but a spot of Fabreeze will work wonders)
