Went to see sarah in her new place tonight, parked up on the street next to some nice lookin cars.

4am comes along and i get my gear on, go outside to see my bike on its right side.

It couldnt get knocked over by another car cos of where it was, it was pushed.

some cunt pushed my bike over WANKER!!!!!!

the steering lock was on, and the bars are twisted, the top yoke loox twisted as the bar holders dont line up with the bolts, 1/2 a tank of petrol was on the floor.

Im fukin fuming. TPFT only.

What do knobheads like this gain from pushing over a bike? Im climbing the fukin walls right now. i want to find the little prick and beat him to death with his moms fat leg.

feel sorry for you mate! its worse being pushed over purposely than if someone had accidentally reversed into it!
hope you get your bike sorted soon though mate - and not at much expense.

Its called Chav power, in that chavs have no real power other than what you have I have the power to take away.

Ie damaging stuff, my uncle gets it all the time , he bought a so so new Hyundai the morning after it had been done over with a hammer on every panel , had foot prints all over it and all the glass smashed.

As chavs have no money and prison is cushier than their homes there is nothing that can be done.

Unfortunately you having money / job / reputation / home have everything to lose , I've said it many times its probably time for a massacre.

Where abouts was it parked? Might as well post it up so the rest of us can avoid it!

Shit world we live in, but I don't like taking my bike to mates houses for the same reason, hence me thinking of getting a cage for places where I wouldn't risk taking the bike Sad

It might be worth checking your policy details carefully, I know that I've had TPFT car policies in the past that covered vandalism ('Malicious Damage' was the wording, I think).

It's not guaranteed, and even if you do have it and claim on it, you'll lose your NCB.

I understand completely, cars on our street regularly get their wing mirrors kicked off, it's so annoying when they don't even benefit from their crime, it's not like their pinching your bike to joyride (which should be a capital crime, it happened to me Evil or Very Mad), it's just pure spite.
Spiteful acts of vandalism like your example should be punished by a lump hammer to the fingers at least!!
I hate the sneering lack of consideration for fellow human beings that so many chav scumbag kids have, and the best thing; They are pumping out sprogs like nobody's business (you would almost think there was some sort of financial benefit, oh wait, there is!) so every year the ratio of scumbags to normal people is getting worse Sad

Sup nix,
It was directly opposite the Mersey Travel office. After i picked it up i looked about for cctv. There was one by the MT building as you said. Hopefully it was a cunting slacker student (no offence to the good students) and i will be able to trace them to the block they live in using the Unite CCTV cams and time stamps etc etc.

This thread is now turning into a plea for help.
I cant afford to replace the handle bar holders or the handlebars, i really really cant.
If anyone has some spares floating about that need a new bike to live on i would be mega uber grateful. I think that ones from a CG, XLR and a CLR are all the same size holders. Im not 100% on the diameter of the handle bars.

Thanks guys an gals. I am at your mercy.

Guv, just cos you wear a tracksuit doesnt mean every time someone makes a disparaging comment about a chav you have to come in to take offense. People use the word to different degrees, Itchys definition of a chav might only extend to utter scum with no intention of doing a days work in their life who go round pushing over bikes and taking off car wing mirrors.

You have read that completely wrong, firstly I dont wear track suits, I have ONE pair of joggers that I wear in the gym.

Secondly I didn't take offence, I asked him of he was right in the head for the statement he made.

Prisons may be cushier than the old days but they are certainly not cushier than your own home.

You completely missed the point.

I asked him that as he has never been to prison yet still thinks he can make a statement about how cushy it is. Its only cushy if your a nonce or a murderer.

And Cansa, bad luck fella.

Bars on road bikes are a uniform diameter btw (not some harlies and off roaders mind) you can pick up a set of renthal knock offs for a tenner, I can find you a link if you like, though those dont look too bent at all.

You reminded me actually of the time my CG got beat up outside a little village pub, then it got nicked a few weeks later, then I moved to uni so I never bothered following it up. Found out last week who did it and I'll be back home in a few days Twisted Evil

Oh and just for the record, the guy that did it wasn't a chav.

[edit] reply to guv, sorry yeah did misread you completely, thought you were taking offense at him saying chavs have no money, not saying prisons are cushy, I have no idea what you mean in your second post though (the one under this one)

I WOULD, however leave it outside that burger king, but not at the bit that goes onto bold street as there's always people sitting on the steps there.

Just bend the bloody things back straight!

I would approach the problem like this:

Find a piece of heavy flat plate, and drill it to accept the risers. Un-bolt the risers from the yokes and bolt them up on the plate, then fix the plate to a heavy workbench. Now draw a line on the workbench through the centre-line of the risers, and use something with a square edge to gauge how far back from the line each bar-end is. Bend the side of the bars back into alignment so that both ends are the same distance from the line you have made. Now do the same but up/down by measuring the height off the bench.

You could do the same by simply clamping the bars (or the risers even) in a large vice bolted to a sturdy bench.
