Guy is hooking up his trailer to go drag-racing. He has a small CO2 bottle for powering his gear shifter system. As he's hooking the trailer up the bottle explodes. Check out the pics - good job there was no-one in the trailer when it went off:

Hi All,
We have a little accident here last week and I thought I post a few pics. Everyone is OK. It seems the blow off valve did not do its job on my spare co2 shifter bottle. Bottle was on the oil shelf in the race trailer and blew up just as we were hooking the trailer to the truck.

Here is the hole it made

Here is my friend Wayne that was down from Mn for his birthday weekend. Happy B-Day Wayne Laughing
This pic is after he pulled the 5" spike out of this neck.

Close up of his shoulder. These are deep in there

Here is one of me and the inside of the trailer. There is 2 1/2 qts of oil not in bottles. The CO2 bottle was on the oil shelf right above the 30gal drum of C16.

Some pics of what is left of the bottle

Would have been interesting if you were driving along side it and the next thing you know there's a CO2 bottle in your car and your window is smashed Laughing

Maybe because he pull it out of his own neck, rather than someone else pulling a 10" chunk of shrapnel out of his head? Smile

I love threads like this. The guy who's trailer it is has blantantly yelled to his mate:

"Don't pull those splinters out. Let me get the camera - it'll look really cool!"

I just find it funny that his first though it about the comedy value of the incident rather then his mate's injuries! LOL!! Laughing

interesting l,ve only seen compressed gas bottles blow due to heat, saw the results of a test bath explosion a few years ago 200 areosol cans burst due to a pratt at Loreal linking out the high temp cutout on the bath, seriously injured a operator and destroyed the room.
