Got back from work today, to have a letter (dated 16/05/2008) waiting for me informing me that my insurance has been cancelled.

My insurers are eBike

The reason being is that they 'havent' received my proof of no claims, however I sent them my no claims in an e-mail on the 24th April, and had a reply off one of their people on the 25th of April saying:

Thank you for sending your proof of No Claims Discount.

We are pleased to confirm that this has been updated on your policy.

Yours sincerely
**** ****

They aren't open on weekends so I will have to wait until Monday to contact them.

I hope that they will admit they have done wrong and give me insurance back.

Anybody else had similar problems?

Advice is much appreciated

Ebike requested my proof of no claims.
The previous policy had been with... ebike. I would have to use their online system to get them to send me it, just so I could return it.

No so impressed with that. However they did then continue my policy (pay as you go) anyway.

Surely it is convenient for you for either money or seasonal reasons, therefore you should not blame them for only using the net, as they do advertise that they do such as it is convenient for everyone (namely them)

Grrr unlucky mate, im sure if you still have the email they should be able to use the time and date on it and see that someone had accessed your policy on their systems at around the same time and reinstate it, you'd hope so anyway.

Always keep emails from insurance companies.
send an email now stating all the facts as you know them in a polite way. They will get it monday by which time you will have sent another three saying the same but add each time that you are still waiting for thier reply to the first second third etc.

They were pretty good with me after a mix up on proof of no claims, my error not thiers.
