If not, we're holding a top-speed/drag meet at MOD (RAF) Woodbridge nr Ipswich in Suffolk. Anyone can race, or spectate and you can do wither drag-racing, top-speed racing, or both.

£10 year membership to spectate (but that covers two 2-day events this year at Woodbridge) or £25 years membership for racing.

£50 to race for 1 day, £90 for 2 days.

MCN will be there doing interviews and taking photos Smile

£10 for "associate membership" which allows you in as a spectator (for both these days and another weekend later in the year).

Restriction of the property owner that only members are allowed on site.

All the best

That's right, it's an MOD security measure, but there's no kind of security check or search, just that they need us to know the names of everyone visiting so require visitors to be a member. Works-out at £5 a day for the weekend or £2.50 a day if you visit late rin the year too.

I shall be there on my turbo bike. Hopefully Mrs Kickstart will be pointing her camera in the right direction in case I lob it again Very Happy

I might have wandered over if you'd shouted earlier ... should have put it in the calendar Smile.

Though, my zx9 ram-air system needs bodging at the moment, as much above 90 and it starts to get very unhappy.

Next one at Woodbridge is 6th/7th of September G.

Came nowhere in the end - turbo power has wrecked my clutch pack. I bought a new clutch and fitted it but didn't get time to test it out.

Had quite a big accident when a lady ran her Blackbird off the runway at over 160mph and came off it Sad

There are many vintage records up for grabs (the owner of 200mph/Straighliners actually holds quite a few), so the more the merrier as the more entrants there are the cheaper the cost-per-entrant. I will enquire on the date, it will be a weekday most likely around September Thumbs Up

We had a guy this weekend actually unoficially break a record, I'll try to find some details.

Hi 1930 Ariel, there are no record classes for vintage machines but it don't stop you competing, click on the link Geri posted and get involved.
