Anyone got any experience?

I'm due to compete in a trial this weekend and tyre choice for my 17" rear wheel is EXTREMELY limited. Only 17" trials legal tyre I can get is 3.5inch whereas the current tyre is 4.6inch.

Opinions? Ideas?

Hi

Never tried it. And to be honest wouldn't like to, Assuming your current tyre is the standard size.

Looking it up I presume you mean a 4.60-17 tyre. Equivalent would be about a 120-90 or a 130-90.

Found a few choices of 4.60-17 tyres

https://www.mynetmoto.com/motorradreifen.cfm/ActiveTab/shopping/ActiveLink/1/Search/1/breite/4.60/hoehe/all/felge/17/hersteller/all/StartRow/0/motorradreifen.html

All the best

Keith

Excellent find Keith.

The tyre I need has to adhere to ACU's TSR11, which is a trials tyre.
But some of those tyres on that link would work except for the width. And if I smile sweetly I might get away with it.

And would be better for road etc.

Thanks for the link Keith,

Just to let you know I've ordered a Bridgestone TW 302 after seeing it on that link.

Tread pattern looks TSR11 legal, but it's too wide. Hopefully they'll let me off.

Certainly a better choice in the long run, and for the road.
