My yoke jammed at 80mph and within seconds i was in the hedge and totally messed up my bike. Clamining that damage was done by the taxi driver as i never bothered at the time. This was last feb.

Two accidents in, err, a few years of riding!

One, which was a classic 'T-Bone' jobbie, car pulled straight out of a side road. (I was filtering at the time and didn't notice the gap in traffic! Doh!)

The other was the now 'infamous' wine van incident!
(I wasn't out-braked, he just slammed his brakes on and I was a little too close to stop in time! (You try riding in London rush hour traffic - you can't leave enough stopping distance because someone will fill it!!))

Fingers crossed, that's all - Don't want any more as I would quite like to build up a NCB! Laughing

One accident in a year, wrote the bike off. Pulled out infront of a car when I looked wasn't there. That made me actually stop at junctions instead of creeping over the line. Plus the car that hit me was going over the limit, but not by much I don't think.

Wouldn't really call all of them accidents but here's all the damage i've caused to my bikes.
1) brand new NSR rolled of it's side stand the day I got it.
2) strip of slippy concrete in a tarmacked car park on NSR
3) dropped newly aquired GPz when turning around in a car park as it was heavy (compared to the NSR!) and i'd just given it a full tank.
4) low sided GPz into a curb after pissing around on a mate's rebel 125 all day.
5) croydon council van turned left while indicating right damaging engine casing and disks.
6) hit some diesel 4 days after fixing the above Crying or Very sad

That's my lot...so far... Praying

One proper accident in 2 and a half years.

I've actually got some coursework on a similar topic due in very soon. I'm hoping when I'm finished people on here won't mind helping out by filling in a quick questionaire. Thats of course if I ever get it done Confused

i knew i was going to fall of too.. doh

I have never had an accident involving anyone else, though in ice I had a 15mph drop. No damage was caused to me and the bike just needed its left indicator bracket straightened up again.

2 Crashes:

1st was my fault on the nsr, decided I would put the anchors on in the wet whilst overtaking, Bad idea!

2nd I was happily riding down a road across a set of traffic lights, As I got half way across the junction someone pulled out in front of me. Currently sueing him for around £50K, the claim was started this week after 18 months of hospitals, operations and physio.

Don't think the mirrors on the mini would be high enough to hit the ones on the bike.

Haven't really kept count as such. Over 30 easily, probably a fair few more in the 7 or so years I've been riding (not 7 full years of riding).

Few, not as many as G though. Laughing

Hit the front of some tarted up Escort RS on a country lane while riding my DT50. Broke 2 toes. Rolling Eyes

Never Crashed my TZR.

Had a very low speed crash on my VFR, due to ice, didn't get hurt.

Rode into a curb on my R6 in a car park, broke my wrist and thumb. Then high sided it on an airfield and broke my collar bone. Laughing

Ain't crashed the Bros yet.

Just the one that left me in a coma for six months a fractured femur, a foot that will require amputating within the next few years and a disability for life.

Going after a stolen vehicle, I got T boned and was wedged under the bandit vehicle with the driver revving his engine trying to escape but my crash helmet was wedged so tight he couldn't move. They had to jack the vehicle off my head to get me out.

I now have a size 14 left foot and a size 10 right so I can't wait for the amputation at it may get rid of the constant pain I am in but i have been told to expect phantom limb syndrome.

So in 2 million miles, not a bad record I guess!

Been riding for about 11,000 miles in one year (but bike was off the road for most of it, damn ZXR)

accidents..

1) ZXR, too fast into a corner on a bridge, hit the curb thrown off the bike into the wall face first (split lid all the way down the front
Shocked ) and knocked myself unconcious, woke up next day in hospital and had mashed my face in and various other things hurt , but nothing broken at least. Really cant remember the accident or about 2-3 weeks after it, it's just completely blank! Was drinking with a straw for like 2 months after that and could barely eat.

2) R6 meets motorway armco crash barrier. Nothing broken, bike was relatively ok and just me with a very painful right leg and very very painful finger (it's still killing me after 3 weeks )

That's all I've had really, not counting the time I dropped the R6 doing a u-turn on a very steep hill Laughing

Fook me thats depressing. my sympathy dude Sad Crying or Very sad

As for my illustrious career of carnage erm, slightly boring of late (since i learnt how to control the buggers) and ive never actually hit another car or even clipped one Very Happy a point im most poud of considering the speed i usually filter at.

But i over wellyied a ktm 250 and power wheelyied it in first up to 40mph across a jump accidentally then into a wire fence.... flipped into tree... walked away from that quite merrily, woke up next day with a black blue and yellow back and arms hehe Twisted Evil

Then on my derbi gpr i hit a corner with no lights on a pitch black country lane (lousy dyno driven fuckers) went a bit wide, hide a hole in the drive comign rite off the apex (dumb place to put it really) flipped off bike and bike slid about 2 foot from gravel to grass.... most boring

Then mother watered lawn without telling me in the really really hto summer, and id had a bad day, she was blocking the drive with car and removing shopping and i was late from work. So naturally burnout skid turn, accelerate onto lawn and go to turn round car and back onto drive.... whoosh both wheels give at the same time. Left a huge furrow or two and a big dent in the grass. Great fun Shocked bastard parents....

And last not really a crash but a collision, mid winter like nov/dec, was going about 45 cos it was one of them rare winter warm days, bit of stick round a round about, must have hit something or lent to much either way back gave away and started sliding the bike round and down, i managed to pick it back up but due to speed was heading straight for the concrete barrier, managed to get less inbound by countersteering my bitch ass off, but still hit it, had to thump off it with my forearm and ripped my arm up THROUGH a 400 quid leater jacket and the armour plating somehow....
Oh yeh the edit is cos i meant to say i didnt actually drop it off the barrier one, wobble a bit and then was fine... demolished my indicator though and dead leg for abotu a week Twisted Evil

But thats it and they were all months ago before i could handle bikes ya see Wink

No crashes on the NSR yet, but a few close calls.
on the 50, I locked the front up in the rain and slid along for a bit...
went round a blind corner and almost got hit by a volvo, locked up the front, nutted the floor and slid along for a bit.... and managed to Get thrown into the air while setting off, landed dodgy, resulting in a foot/knee that still hurts after 4 weeks, and managed to nut the floor Confused .

Dropped my NSR not long after getting it. I was doing a u turn a little fast and the front wheel hit some loose gravel at the side of the road and went from under me. I didn't actually fall, I was just left standing there with the bike on it's side between my legs.

The other incident was when I was exiting a roundabout. I'm not sure exactly why it happened, but as I was turning left off the roundabout the bike lowsided. Confused I remember as I was sliding along on my side thinking " shit! This sounds expensive". I also got this overwhelming urge to try to stand up resulting in me doing a nice somersault.Doh! Wasn't hurt though. Thumbs Up

I've lost count of how many car mirrors I've hit. Laughing I try not to, but when people move towards you just as your filtering past well they deserve it.
I once was filtering between 2 lines of cars both going in the same direction. Just as I was coming to two of 'em they both moved towards me a bit. I hit both their mirrors with my bars. Laughing*

*This is of course a lie, I would never hit anyone's mirror even if they are trying to take me out. Wink
