I've got a feeling the 'greenlane' laws in Scotland are a lot tighter; meaning that there's pretty much only one or two legal lanes throughout all of Scotland.
However, of course, there's a lot lower population density for NIMBYs to make a fuss, so might be worth talking to land owners of interesting looking areas to see if they mind you having a play.

Correct in fact I actually don't know any legal lanes in Scotland at all, I think pretty much anywhere you go is going to be illegal here Sad. Me and my brother do the odd bit now and again but its all illegal really even though we don't ride about like idiots that won't make any difference if the police caught us.

There are some bits of forestry commission land that they don'mind you using but it is still not legal. You could try Dalmellington forest down by Ayr weve been down there in a van just to see if its ok to take bikes down and when we were there we saw about 6 off road bikes. A few riding about and some on trailers but it seems like they don't mind bikes using the forest roads. Good luck finding some where to have fun on your bike mate, Smile and the English think they have it bad Razz.

Already posted these up here somewhere I think, all these amazing lanes/scenery and only hippies and ramblers are allowed to use it.

well its something that needs looked into, as some people say there are no trespassing laws and you can use anywhere under "right of way" as long as no damage is done.

ooh found this, a good read
