They are 'ok' cheap chinese bikes as far as I know. Wouldn't really bother as for the money you could get a much better bike.

I think the ccm230 uses the Honda CRF230 engine but i could be wrong there was a comparison review of the crf230 and that ccm230 somewhere on the net.

A copy of maybe, pretty sure it's not the actual honda engine. Would more justify the price if it was an actual honda engine.

The CRF is way better ,and no its not a Honda engine in the copy bikes, but for £2400 Rolling Eyes or £2995 for CRF Laughing 100 mpg on trails,70mph no problem but not advised on knobblies, excellent build quality ,leccy start and low seat,no rear disc on the CRF

Can you get road kit for the CRF230, or is it 'not for road use'?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Can definitely get road stuff for them and I seem to remember a few years ago bendy sat on one at the dirt-bike-show and found it ok height-wise. Electric start is the only big 'plus' over your pamp though and think it gains quite a few kilos.

Ah right i didn't know it was just a copy of the CRF230 engine thanx for clearing that up, I was considering buying one but as you've mentioned whats the point when a Honda is just a bit more expensive. The problem is trying to find any 2nd hand ones for sale up here in Scotland.
