Hiring bike in USA-license query?

Heading to Las Vegas in the summer and my husband and I are planning on hiring bikes for a couple of days and doing a bit of Route 66.
We passed our tests 5 years ago. We did our tests on 125s and then after 2 years could ride bigger bikes (A1 test?)

Our licenses show =<25KW beside the bike part.

Could this cause problems when hiring bikes in the USA?

I contacted the DVLA who said it was up to us if we wanted to change our licenses. Don't see the point unless it will stop us hiring bikes in LV.

Anyone any ideas?

There is only category A with a picture of 1 bike. It doesn't expire till we're 70. We have photo licenses if that makes a difference.
DVLA said we would need to change our licenses to get rid of the =>25 KW code-it doesn't come off automatically.

It also means you only have a licence to ride a motorcycle of less than 25KW.

Any other recently issued licences I've seen have both the restricted and full categories on them. The restricted catgory runs out after two years and the full category kicks in from the same date.

If it isn't on your licence, it, well, isn't on your licence.

Maybe someone who didn't do direct access could double check that, I'm going by what I've seen on friends licences because I did mine before all this restricted carry on happened.

On a secondary note, you'll probably find that an American:
a) Couldn't give a flying fart what your licence says, they are Mormons in Vegas, if you are offering them money they will rent you a bike. Also there are many different licences anyway (every state is different) and regulations for 'out of state' drivers are notoriously lax.

b) They wouldn't know what 25KW was if it walked up and bit them on the arse, it's bhp or nothing over there.

I passed my restricted test in jan and my licence only has cat a =<25KW on it, from when I passed my test to when I turn 70, there's no unrestricted bit starting in two years or anything

A1 or A2? I was under the impression that if you took the A1 it was on a bike below 120ishcc and you were restricted forever whereas the A2 wears off after two years. Really not sure but it could be an answer.
