Yeah, I did some searching before posting this:

I've got NSR125R 2002 with Malossi 180cc, Arrow exhaust etc. and I must say it's a great bike. Only bad point is the tires, I've got now Pirellis MT75 and they are poor when riding fast. It's not fun when your rear tire begins to spin in every corner and once (in race track) the front tire just lost traction and I did hurt myself. The tires aren't even worn-out, actually, I've got lots of groove (don't know the right English word because I'm finnish) left... well I mean I've got still lots of rubber left but in aggressive driving those Pirellis do suck!
I've just ordered Bridgestone BT39's to my bike but people have said here that Bridgestone has stopped producing them and I can know it in 1-2weeks can I get those lovely(?) BT39's or not. So what else can you recommend? I've got "lots of" rubber left in front tire also but ofcourse I'm going to change both tires!

The main question: Which tires are the best in size 100/80/17 front and 130/70/17 rear ? I need grip, and if BT45's has "only" similar traction in dry but better in wet... well then I wouldn't benefit so much because I'm not out there driving like mad when it's wet and the dry traction of Pirellis is not enough for me.

Need help! Thanks!

So the BT45's are clearly better than the MT75's ? I remember that someone say BT45's has the same traction on dry surface than MT75's but BT45's are just much better in wet?

Btw. oops, my driving license allows me to drive only under 125cc bike with less than 15 horsepowers... Rolling Eyes Laughing

yeah theres no real difference between the perelli and the stones in the dry, infact the mt75 is slightly better, but the bt45 is far suppiriour in the wet

I just changed my tyres (2001 NSR) from the MT75's to the Bridgestone tyres. No real diff on dry but Bridgestone MUCH better in the wet.

Pirelli Demons are the way to go, cost a bit more, very sticky in wet/dry but dont last as long as other tyres though. Good road holdoing mind.
