My insurance is vaid all throughout the EU and some non-eu contries.

However my certificate does not state any contries on it.

Do i need to take anything special with me before leaving the UK and must i inform the insurance company?

You need to take all your documents with you. Thumbs Up

No idea if you're required to inform your insurers prior to overseas use, call them and find out. Wink

Yes you should tell them, just ring your broker and tell your going and how long for. They will then inform the underwritter so they will be aware your going.

Certificate is all I was planning on taking, although also got my policy number and phone numbers on a different piece of paper.

By all documents, I mean license (both parts), MOT and insurance certificate. Have a look through the FAQ's thread at the top of this forum. Thumbs Up
