I want to buy a NSR125F (from 1989), but would it be possible to put fairings on it? And would it be possible to buy these fairings new?

Not sure. I wanted to replace all my fairing on my NSR125R-K until the cheepest quote I got was £104 per panel. Which actually isn't bad considering they come pre painted.

Erm, if want fairings, then why not buy the "R" model? Confused ...the whole point of the "F" is that it's unfaired...or have I missed the point?

I supose you could fit fairings to it.
but as Tin says, why not just buy the model with the fairings on?

dont buy new fairings, talk about a waste on money, OE fairings are such stupid prices, youd throw away so much money, just to drop it again?

im currently looking for some used fairings for my bike, simply to stop it flapping in the wind and making the current cracks bigger, but dont buy new

If you really want fairings, www.ardracing.com do the twin headlight ones!!

I'm in discussion with them to get my wife's foxeye one moulded too if anyone is interested as you can't get them anywhere else!!

well I would buy an nsr125f because I live in belgium, and a (good) second-hand nsr is hard to find here. And right now, I know someone who sells his unfaired version... But I rater like the faired version Twisted Evil

You would also need to get the headlight and a few other bits (this is the NSR not the NS we're talking about?) The price would probably be significantly more than if you waited a bit until one was for sale.

maybe I should wait until I find a faired version in good condition, but here in belgium it's very hard to find one. This is the unfaired one:

what the hells my bike doing over there!!! Cool Laughing

If you get the bike, after you ride it a bit, you really wont be all that fussed about the fairing to be honest.

i first wanted a fully faired one.
but after riding it, and doing maitence i found that with out the fairing it made life a little easier.

And it's a lot less to replace/money to lose if/when you crash.

Fair enough Splash, I thought that might've been the reason, sorry Smile

Do you mainly want fairings for protection, or for looks?...do full fairings offer significant extra wind/weather protection on a 125?

I would like fairings on it for the wind protection, and a little bit for the looks Twisted Evil But it is like you guys say, it's much easier to work on the bike without always have to remove the fairing. Maybe I'll fit a little front fairing on it, just to break the wind.
