had this helmet for around 2-3years now i believe, and to be honest was in good condition so started it as a project of mine which has turned out pretty good

here is the pic of the helmet on my zx6r 2yrs ago 'green/black'

and after prepping and spraying its turned out really good

spose to be matt black paint was still wet when pic was taken

got a black visor on the way aswell so hopefully it will be here before the weekend and i can get some better pics.

may take it up as a hobby lol

oh and this helmet has been sitting around in the bedroom for over a year not used or nowt hence why ive used it as a project

What spray did you use? I have a few old lids I wouldn't mind trying to paint up as they were never dropped, they just look tatty.

was some spray cans i had mixed up for me a while back, cost me a tad when i borught them but do the job perfect

Be aware that some spray paints can bugger the shell/inner. Don't ask me how, but according to the guy that runs Rich Art they can.(He does custom designs for racers) Confused

I think Shoei lids say you can paint them no problem.

Bendy did a nice orange spray job on a lid for G once. I suspect him throwing himself at tracks regularly will kill them before the paint will.

ah right thanks i didnt know that, im gonna go have a proper look at it anyways dunno if that will make a differance but he's a pic a took earlier this morning

Well they can either weaken the outer shell or harden the inner or something. Just a factor I figure you may want to be aware of. Thumbs Up

The paint breaks down the surface of the helmet an weakens it or something, it's the same reason you can't put some stickers on them.
