Personally, I don't feel that GT cars are real racecars - they're just road cars with bits stuck on them, I don't think they should qualify.

There is something pure about a racecar that means it's beauty is by pure accident. It's built for speed, and speed alone, if it then also looks amazing then that is a huge bonus.
