I'm not thinking of getting some at the moment, but I'm curious.

Why are they worth getting ?

I know it means you can adjust the footpeg position, but whats the benefit to that ? is it just for high clearance so pegs dont touch down ?

Yes

Yes - accommodates a footpeg position more suited to an individual rider.

Then just factor in the added tart factor.

alot of tracks say that you mustn't have folding pegs,
fuck knows why, but that sort of forces you to have race rear sets.

Hi

They also act as crash protection for the bike.

All the best

Hi

Never seen any track insisting on fixed pegs for track days. It would be financial suicide.

All the best
