It's here! And it's sooo much fun. I wish I had got a 2t 125 to start with before jumping straight on a bandit now.
Have to wring it's neck to get anywhere. I'm confused by the idle as it sounds like a gun and vibrates quite a lot, and I can sit at lights with it making no noise at all, put some throttle in and it is still ticking over but hey its fun, and cheap! I looked a right retard in my full rst gear on it bringing it home, but hey. All the gear all the time.... As if. Shorts N tshirt for this bitch methinks. Might get some road knobblies on it and do a little bit of LIGHT trail riding.

Bike under cover is my fzr600 which is currently waiting for parts from japan. And the car behind is my dad's project, a quantum saloon.

Yep it's an 88 etz 250.
Bloody loud. And the speedo cable has gone, but its all good. I don't suppose you know how to get the rubber clock housing off to replace the cable stealth? I've had a quick look, it seems a little tight with no bolts to undo?

Yup, just prise the the clock out upwards. A large flat bladed screwdriver between the chrome speedo rim and the rubber outer will get it started, just use your fingers after that.
There's a circlip round the rubber boot on the underside where the cable goes through (you can just see it in the picture) - you'll need to remove that to get the old cable out, but it helps to remove it before lifing the speedo aswell. Don't pull too hard, cos the wiring for the lights comes through there aswell and the bulb holders are fairly easily broken.
Oh and don't use silicon grease or anything like that to put it back in - it's the friction that holds it all in place
(And Burwins are your people for spares - I always phone them, but they've got a website: https://www.mzspares.com ) ____________________ Current garage: VFR800 FI-W | RD500LC YPVS | SV650 K2 | MZ TS250/1 | MZ ETZ251 | BSA WDB40
