Ordered my new chain and sprockets off wemoto and after fitting the sprockets I went to put on the chain and it turns out its a 112 links one rather than a 110.

Now tomorrow I am scheduled down at the local bike place to get my tires changed. Will they be able to cut off the 2 spare links do you reckon?

So pissed off. Had to put my old one back on which is really old and now its covered in grass and stuff. I'm supposed to be going on a really long ride this weekend, so I really hope they can cut off the 2 extra links somehow!

Hi

Easy to shorten a chain. Either using a decent chain link splitter, or grind the head off the rivit and use a cheap chain link splitter.

All the best
