Steam Packet will let you provisionally book for about £20 with the balance to be paid once they have made up the highly inflated prices around Feb time.

Camping isn't too bad turning up on spec, I've always managed to camp within walking distance of Douglas. Try not to stay outside of Douglas if beer is on the agenda.

Hotels get booked up pretty quick so I'd start now. Also book the ferry asap unless you dont mind sitting around Liverpool docks at 2 in the morning.

Budget £150 for 1 bike and rider on the ferry and £5 a night camping. cant help with hotel prices as I always camp.

Judging on how quiet the ferries where this year (there where spaces on ferries for Mad Sunday weekend the Friday before) I wouldnt panic.

Hi mate this year it was £186 return for bike and rider on the seacat and knock a tenner off for the ben my cree if you sail from heysham . Nobles rugby club is popular for camping and they even rent out ready erected tents etc and are within rolling distance of Douglas prom.
Cheers

I'd agree with Fastkwak about the ferry price, but it's been a while since I had to take a bike on the ferry.

As regards accommodation, as well as camping you also have the option of homestay, which is where people will open up their homes on a B&B basis. It's not too expensive and is a bit better than camping if the weather is crap.

I'd book sooner rather than later if you want a decent ferry crossing and decent accommodation. You can try the following sites, hopefully they'll be of some use to you:

https://www.steam-packet.com/steampacket/IsleOfManTTBooking.aspx
https://www.visitisleofman.com/homestay/
https://www.visitisleofman.com/travel/accommodation/isle-of-man-hotels.aspx?menuid=13094

Like has been said, if you want beer then either stay in Douglas or make sure you're on a bus route (or be prepared to spend out more for taxis). Bear in mind that the last buses leave Douglas at 22:50. The Police crack down hard on drink driving here, so don't risk it (and people seem to get drunk just walking over the threshold of Bushys!).

Hope you get something sorted. Thumbs Up
