That's right, I'm back on the road!! Picked this up tonight, it's my first road bike in years... looking forward to some casual evening rides in between the stunt riding!!! (and no this bike ain't getting stunted Laughing)

It's a 1999, its only got 12,000 miles on it and has been used mostly/if not all in dry conditions, it's practically mint, just needs a clean as it has been left outside for the past few weeks or so.

Scorpion race cans sound absolutely AMAZING

I'm very happy so far, haven't ridden it far yet but it feels so nice to ride, very fast ( I swear this red one is faster than the silver one I rode last time Laughing they do say red is the fastest colour Wink ) corners well too but I think it needs a 6mm spacer under the rear shock as it did seem to understeer a bit.

Will get some decent pics soon, but for now, here's a couple of snaps.. it's awaiting a bellypan, undertray, hugger and maybe some carbon cans in the future Mr. Green

I'll give it a week before you cave in at least once and clutch it up Razz

Shocked I dread to think what insurance on something like that would be for me.

Carbon cans aren't necessarily a great idea dude. My friend's dad had a 'Storm in Dubai almost identical to that but with Two Brothers Racing carbon cans. He let my other friend borrow it for a day and the weave just caved in on one of the cans leaving him with the packing and a load of melted carbon fibre around it.

Don't know whether it's a common problem but I just thought I'd share.

Been riding it around a bit today... seems to draw a lot of attention when riding and when parked! Cool quite suprised tbh how much interest its got and I only went to a couple of bike shops...

It's so much fun to ride, I had a slight incident on the way home though, did a kill-switch backfire to see how loud it was and then as I came up to the next corner the bike just cut out Neutral couldn't get it to work, the alarm had immobilised the bike and nothing seemed to fix it.... had to push it home Laughing but eventually un-immobilised it and it's all good now Laughing

I fuckin hate alarms!! not one person tried to stop me when I was pushing a bike along with the alarm going off, I guess it'd be a bit too blatant to be a theft though really...

btw quacker, I didn't last a day Laughing

Yeah man, I'm slow as fuck on the road tho... but can't wait to get some leathers and try knee down on roundabouts again Laughing

1st gear actually, can't get the hang of 2nd... I've NEVER been good at fast road wheelies so it's taking some getting used to... have only tried about 3 times and didn't hold it for much more than 20 meters or so, but as I say, just getting used to it , oh and the ones I've done so far are in kinda in-appropriate places Shocked Mr. Green
