You not think there a bit heavy? i do, compared to big sports bikes they feel like massive weights, but over that i'd still have one, nice bike!

There not meant to be a sports bikes though, infact most bikes will feel heavy compared to one. They are still lighter than a bandit 6.

I like Thruxtons, you can chuck alot of money at them and get a decent amount of power out of the engine. Get rid of the bag on the front.

I test rode a Thruxton a few weeks back, i thought it felt quite light to be honest.
Im on the verge of getting one i liked it that much, the only thing putting me off is that i dont think it would cope very well with winter commuting
Borg, is your bike a thruxton or a bonny with a few changed parts? Just looks a bit different to the Thruxtons i have seen

From one Trumpy owner to another I must say I admire your taste. Looks a very nice machine indeed.

well i also own a Speedmaster, but the Bonnie is more suited to the twisties around here in West Wales, so i can see the Speedie going up for sale soon. It won a prize at last years Anglesey show as well. I do like it but the Bonnie is more me, I'm more a Rocker than a Greebo Smile

I love those bikes. I went into the showroom to buy one a couple of weeks ago after having a go on a mates. Unfortunately I was able to test ride a new sprint as well.....I'll be picking my sprint up next Wednesday and I can't wait!

I'd love to own one of these as well, but the sprint fits in with my daily riding and touring a bit better, and I can't afford to own 2 nice bikes - yet.

It's a '67 650. it is basically the bonnie but with only 1 carb. it is the loudest bike I have ever heard it put our only Triumphs to shame (Speed Four and Sprint ST both with loud pipes)

When you convert clip on into bar handle, do you need to change wires too? Is that a handle bar of bonneville?
