NSR beating a scooby to 80!?! Don't think so matey. At about 218 bhp (270ish import!) and 4WD.....No chance. We may get a head start but unless youre on a bigger bike you aint gonna beat it to 80 full stop.Sorry to piss on your bonfire and all that but a half decent driver would prove this.Oh, best stick a drag spec gixer1100 engine in the frame if you wanna match it bhp to bhp! By the way...That was a good guess G! A subaru impreza makes a bhp/ton figure of 219, whilst a relative figure (if an nsr weighed a ton!) for the NSR125 is 200 exactly, so the power to weight ratios, without rider/driver are very close. But with rider added, the difference is bigger in the scoobys favour. God I must be fuckin bored. |

<font color="#909090">yea, I realise this wasn't a serious request</font> \lf;me disagrees. \lf; \lf; \lf;We are talking about a *tuned* NSR, so I think a 180cc 40hp engine isn't too unreasonable. Add a lightened frame etc and I reckon you could cut about 20kg off fairly easily. \lf;I reckon a bike with that spec shouldn't have too much trouble doing sub 6 sec 0-60. As I said earlier I still reckon a well tuned NSR could just about keep ahead to 80 \lf; <font color="#909090">someday I will remember to that html tick box </font> G\lf;\lf;\lf;[ This message was edited by: G on: 1-22-2002 21:27 ] |

I dunno. A tuned 180 NSR would probably give it a good run for it's money BUT remember that scooby's got 4WD, twin turbos and power curves everywhere! Going back to the original post, I don't think it's worth tuning an NSR, it would probably be a great 10 minute ride but a LONG year rebuiling it! If you wanna go caning supercars why not save up for an RGV/RS/NSR 250 if you want a stroker, or just get a 400. |
