Taking gloves back

Bought some sp2's on Monday. Went out for a ride for the first time with them today and within 5 minutes my hands were in agony due to my knucles rubbing against some stitching, i had to come home and ruin my evening since i am otherwise glove less as my old one's literally fell apart on Sunday Sad

So i am going to take them back tomorrow, should i tell the the truth or just say i haven't worn them on the bike, they just didn't feel right at home.

I have all the packaging and everything is as new.

how would you know if you didnt use them? dont let them fob you off with that one. they are designed for that purpose and dont suit it. in normal use if they are uncomfortable they are probably not stitched right.

Were they the right size? If they were too big they would rub.

I'd first tell them that they are faulty, and ask for another pair, if they still rub, take them back and then ask for an exchange.

I believe it's consumer rights, if they don't do the job they're made for, you can ask for a full refund.

The guy ummed and arred for all of a minute until he saw they were brand new in looks and he knew i wasn't lying.

Anyway he showed me some alternatives, one of which i liked and i said i'll go for that only to find out they were an extra £60, i said no and at this point he showed me some sp3's, i really liked them and at £20 less seemed perfect except they only had blue colour in stock Thumbs Down

So got a refund, went to bradford motorcycles and got some nice summer gloves which fit perfect for £20. Thumbs Up

Happy ending, powersport in bradford are pretty good with refunds and once again chez from bradford motorcycles has sorted me out with good cheap gear (he sold me my boots, helmet, old gloves and now these, all of which are excellent).
