Good luck to them all... and especially my Dad, he is on a 07 black Honda Varadero. He is already up there in Scotland enjoying himself before the event.

Just slight envious Very Happy

Sunrise @ just after 4am
Sunset @ just after 9:30pm

So that's around 17 and a half hours to do say 840 miles.

Multimap.com reconds about 16hours 45 minutes for that, and it doesn't put in any stops.
The RAC route planner has it taking longer.

So, yes, it'll be quite a challenge.

Thumbs Up

Why's your dad not got a photo up?

If you speak to him before then, wish him good luck from me (and thank him for the loan of tools for the RG!)

You don't have to follow the group, I don't think many of them will be. My Dad doesn't plan to use the motorway for the interesting bits, he was thinking of using to get past the boring bits though.

Pah, I rode from Gap to Liverpool yesterday using only motorways for the last 300 miles, easily manageable but good job on the charity bit... Very Happy Thumbs Up
