I've recently started riding and was wondering if it's possible to get some speakers that go inside the helmet to play music or sat nav instructions etc?

Sounds better than using earphones that probably won't stay in the ear.

Any recommendations if these exist?

thanks

I bought some but my helmet was too tight to fit them in I prefer earphones by a long way.

I had a similar set in when doing my cbt, so they could use mic fings,

Bloody unconveinient to get back in, line them up to your ears,
and even then they were extremely uncomfortable, i remember sliding them down to near my chin to stop them hurting and riding of my own accord.

Sounds like you want this: https://www.cardowireless.com/scala_rider_fm

FM radio and pairs up with your GPS/phone.

They also do a Q2 which had all of the above plus it links to other headsets so you can communicate with a pillion.

Can probably pick one up for 70ish on eBay.

I use the Rider which just has one earpiece and can say it's perfectly comfortable and lines up right every time for me. Also loud enough to hear over wind/traffic noise.

I wonder if those bone speakers would work, you could still use ear plugs then. Not sure what they are called but they transmit sound through the skull instead of the ear. With your lids cheakpads helping to make contact I would have thought it would be a perfect solution as long as the air buffeted around the outside of the lid doesn't interfere

Just found some

I use one like this on my helmet to listen the gps instructions, far less distracting than having a mounted GPS and staring to the screen.

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Slim-Bluetooth-A2DP-Stereo-Headset-Headphone-Black_W0QQitemZ160249714539QQihZ006QQcategoryZ42393QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I removed the plastic case and the board and battery fit perfectly between the sleeves of the helmet.

It has a 3.5 plug so you can use any speaker or earphone piece, I had a slim one taken from an old headset in the hole for the ear.

good and easy 8)

Second this. I used one on my Euro tour and the earpiece sits below the lining on my lid so you can't even feel it. Doesn't interfere with earplugs and is still legible over 100mph. The auto-volume adjustment also works very well. A top piece of kit! Thumbs Up
