got a question for ya mate ....ive been following your workshop section of the site and im currently half-way through the de-restriction, ive done the exhaust just working on the air inlet.....Ive read loadsa drivvle about re-jetting carbs and all sorts, i was just wondering mate, if i do everything that your site says in the workshop, is there anything extra on top of it that will need to be done to make it work ??
P.S. how much more accelaration / top end do you get from doing what the workshop says , Cheers mate ....

Hi, what if I want my bike derestricted from say a dealer, will they fully de-restrict the bike for me? Cost? Only I'm pretty good at taking things apart, just not putting them back together. Smile

Hi
Normally dealers will only derestrict a bike if you have a full licience. I was quoted about £85 but the dealer required proof that I was not a learner, in the end I got a mate to do the work.

is prolly one of the easiest things to do... as long as you follow the guide correctly you should have no problems at all... theres absolutely no point getting a dealer to do it for you, its just not worth the money seeing as its so easy to do.

Remove the plate Smile
The gold plate is the actual restrictor... chuck it out.

i think slip stream said that he opened the airbox! Look at his message again. Slip stream you dont have to open the airbox at all, just remove it.
