Hey, as title, for a 50cc x-reg NRG.

Currently have it de restricted and Tecnigas full exhaust, just wondering what difference if any, these mods would make?
Doppler Boost Bottle
Upgrade Jets to about 70

If not that then what about with a Doppler Performance air filter and race variator on top?

Or am i being silly?

Not actually rid my bike flat out yet (not done CBT (15) ) etc but i've been told 45mph max..

Thanks

Hmm, Biggest Difference is IMHO:

Top End : 70cc Bore Kit
Acceleration : Changing Rollers to lighter/Variator Kit

Besides this you can leave it standard and get a 125 soon.

If you just increase the main jet it will just make the bike run richer and probably slower.

There are many different types of boost bottles and each bike needs a specific size or else they won't work efficiently. My RX-S comes with a boost bottle as standard. It's supposed to increase the responsiveness of the throttle, I don't know if it really works.

To be honest they're a waste of money as a performance product, save your money.

Lighter roller won't give better acceleration. The only purpose for rollers is to keep the bikes engine in the powerband as the speed cinreases. If you shove lighter rollers straight into a standard bike the all that would happen is the bike would go into the higher gear too fast and the revs would be too low, it would have very slow acceleration. The exact opposite happens.

Also 70cc kits don't increase top speed by much if any. To get a 70cc kit to give you much more top speed you also have to buy a gear up kit so that the power gets put to good use. With a 70cc kit and standard gearing it will just accelerate faster and maybe give you a few MPH more. Only real way to get more MPH without changing the gearing is if the new 70cc kit is revving to more RPMs than the standard 50cc. This won't happen though unless you get a CDI that has an adjustable rev limiter or none at all.

Boost bottles don't do shit. Spend your money on a better exhaust pipe.

Ive just fitted a "Stage 6" pipe to my mates NRG. Big improvement over the Leo Vince ZX he had on there. Thumbs Up

tip: stay away from that boost bottle, they do fuck all, bassically people buy them because they think they look cool lol. The correct size boost bottle for your bike would proberly be the size of a smarties tube maybe bigger. So them shitty doppler ones off 'adrenalin pedstop' are just a gimic. Bassically everything off that website is shit! Go on ebay there much better. (Im guessing thats where you have seen them)

Bigger jets are only something you do when you change the air filter and exhaust. Without these your bike will run to rich.
You also only change the rollers when you buy a new exhaust, the rollers should come with it. You only do this to keep the bike in its powerband.

If you want it to go quicker get a 70cc bore kit. But thats pointless as well because to get one of them you need money for a new carb, crank, bore kit itself and maybe even a new exhaust and defo rollers. So its just a waste of money.

Just live with it or buy a geared bike which is so much better!

dam right they dont! im surprise companys sell them! i did the same shit when i was younger so i tell you even tho i shouldnt i guess, a bigger carb is a good investment, 70kits also is, an 80kits even better but cost quite abit, a "good" pipe https://www.scootershack.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2948 to tell the truth you should ask what u seek at https://www.scootershack.co.uk/index.php , no offence to the lads on here but its a scooter/ped site and the owners a mate + one of the admins built my bike so i can vouch they know what there on about and some of the guys with the fastest scoots in the county are on it so you'll find out what u want to know there

I think they work but only if you find the right one for your bike. Not just finding one with Malossi on the side and thinking it must boost performance because it's got a recotgnisable name on it. I assume the one on my RX-S works because Yamaha would have spent a lot of time designing and perfecting it so it does waht it's supposed to do, not just getting any bottle and shoving it on.

Vesta
The Boost Bottles are more effective on Speedfights, Do not waste your money on one as it will do Fuc* All to the performance of your ped.

The best thing to get would be a racing variator.
