Basically i am fed up with having to take the bike to the garadge every time to tighten the chain up when someone always gives me this shit saying that my tire is soon needs to be replaced and that they can do it for 150 quid (yeah tyre which i fucking bought 2 weeks ago haha) or other similar 'work creation'

So basically i want to learn two things

1. How and what do i exacly need to tighten my chain myself

2. What is best to buy and where to do my tires pressure

Thanks

I reckon a purple set of powerbands should sort out the tyres nicely, shouldn't be too much either Laughing

I know we're all noobs once, but surely you have a manual?

Slacken the axle nuts, slacken the two nuts locked together on each adjuster (the bolt sticking out the ends of theswingarm) tighten the larger nut on each adjuster evenly till you have about an inch of play in the bottom of the chain, then tighten the smaller nut to lock them together, then tighten the axle back up.

Get someone who knows what thyre doing to show you, 100 times easier than understanding it.

As the above poster said. Slacken off the axel nut and chain adjuster locknuts and then tighten until you have the required amount of free play in the chain.

A standard socket set should do the trick.

£5 footpump with gauge from Halfords is the best thing to use.

Good tip - tighten the bolts in equal measure. If you tighten the left side 2 turns then ensure you do 2 turns on the right. Thumbs Up

just a little thing : when you've slacken the central nut , kick your tyre in order to unstick the wheel from the swing arm
