I suppose putting it in like 5th or something would be a better idea.

And at least if they throw the bike its only a stunt bike, All caged up and something that nobody really gives a fuck about. Thumbs Up

I had my first go on a ZX10R the other day. It was pretty fast! Cool

I like the way he rolls his sleeves down because it will protect him Laughing

Also love it when it's in slow motion and the camera man shouts 'Jon!' Laughing

Serves him right for not wearing protection, I hope that stings for a while to remind him.

Serves the person who owned that once nice bike for letting someone who never been on a bike on that.

Let that be a lesson to them. Clapping Not like its going to stop the influx of idiots doing stuff like this anyway.

It never seizes to amaze me... It's NOT THAT DIFFICULT!
If these dumbasses took it as easy as they should nothing would ever happen. If you treat it like a pound of nitroglycerin then you'll be fine

I Agree, a monkey could do it.

My first time went smoothly & i didn't get a handful of throttle & ride up a wall. Shifty

I always think you should rev a bike abit to get used to the throttle before riding it for the first time. That way you know how far to turn it to give you enough revs to set off instead of being like this guy Laughing

Not even that, just roll along with just the clutch then after a while start to give it throttle. If i was taught that way i'd of learned a lot faster rather then doing the clutch & throttle at once.

Yeah but then again you can't ride the clutch on say a 50cc or even most 125cc, and that's usually what you learn on

Err yeh you can, very easily. You won't flip it but that doesn't mean you can't ride the clutch.

Its actually pretty hard and very slow without and throttle input on a 50.

Remember he's on a downgeared fireblade, it's slightly faster than a 50. Rev it too much and ham fistedly let the clutch out a bit = what happened in the video.

'Slightly faster' Rolling Eyes

We were talking about 50s and 125s not the fireblade.

Agreed. Its pretty hard to crawl a 50 forwards on just clutch. In fact, there is probably more "skill" involved in crawling a 50 forwards on clutch alone than pulling away properly.

Bikes rev up quickly, Even 50s. The revs pick up ALOT quicker than your average car. I also think that having a play around with the throttle before even putting it in gear will help to give an idea of just how fast it will reach the red line with a throttle blip.

It was possible to clutch along on the Senda, but the RS50 needed quite a few revs to move.
