hi i have just recently purchased a zx6r and there is a little thing that is worrying me i went out for a little ride this evening when i was riding along it cut out was like it had run out of fuel got of had a quick look around still fuel in the tank went to start agaain and it fired back up and was fine then i was nearly home came to an island and it was splutering and sounded like it was missfiring reved it up a bit and it cleared is this a common problem on these? or is it something im doing wrong?

have you checked the breather hole on top of the tank open filler cap and there should be a breather hole there sometimes this gets blocked and causes the syptoms you are saying
