Hi,

Bought a new-to-me can (thanks Craigs23) and the external diameter on my inlet pipe is a snatch smaller than the internal diameter of the can.

It clamps on tight with the exhaust clamp but if I put my hand near to it I can feel the faintest of blowing from it.

Any suggestions as to what to do? I have ordered some gun-gum to try but I didnt know if there was something more specific to this issue like some sort of sleeve (no more than 1mm thick).

Any tips appreciated. Karma

Buuy some 0.5mm shim material and cut a shim to fit. Worked well on my zxr 400!

I always use fire gum. Its like a paste when you put it on but it expands to fill gaps when warmed up. Its still easy to separate the exhaust afterwards.

Cheers for the suggestions.

I will give the gun-gum a go and see how it does. Thumbs Up

Find a place that makes custom exhausts and have them swage the mid-pipe out to fit. Takes just a minute and should only cost a tenner.
