Here is my lovely (if I do say so myself) and slightly ill fated GSX750f, bought a few days ago. I'm currently trying to get the thing running right, I think the carbs are gunked up, but I won't go into that here as it has its own thread in the workshop. Here she is:

I've never owned a better looking teapot Cool

Of course, though, the first thing I did was drop it Laughing It's not quite as pretty on the left hand side now... Embarassed Regardless, I can't wait to start putting some miles on the thing. Besides the fact I had to keep it above 5k rpm to get it home (it was essential, officer) it's really comfy, and handles really well considering the weight.

Edit - Realised I posted this in the wrong forum so I've shifted it here. Embarassed

Correct me if i am wrong, But for an old bike it looks to be in fairly good condition.

Thanks Smile only 20k on the clock, so I'm assuming its been stood for a while. Rear sprocket is a bit rusty, but besides that there isn't much corrosion anywhere, which I think is the main thing to look for on old Suzuki bikes.

Hmm, I have mixed feelings about them. Sometimes they'll do me proud, other times they'll choose some outrageous price out of the air.

Never had a bike from there (tried, but he wanted waaay too much in my opinion) but have had lots of parts when I wrecked my Bandit.

That one looks good though IMO. Always thought teapots were ugly, but they're starting to appeal a bit more.

I'm very much of the opinion that when you shop at the Bike Hut, you "pays yer monies and takes yer chances". You might get a bargain, you might get a total lemon, but its nice to have a selection of second hand bikes to pick and choose for (usually) reasonable money in the same place. Of course, you could say much the same about shopping in trade it

It's true, I suppose it's one of the few places where you can reliably get cheap second hand bikes. But cheap is by dealer's standard. I think you'll always do better in TradeIt or on eBay.

But it is less effort to go down there, and of course then they'll deliver it.

Just spotted this post. Nice to see another 750 teapot. I have a black 1995 model, which for the money I think is a great bike.

I've recently changed the rear shock for a bandit 1200 one (needs to be a 2000 onwards model) and it makes a big improvement. Bolts straight in, and quite a few on ebay for around £50. Only downside is it's a longer shock and you can't spin the rear wheel on the centre stand any more, but anyway that's my reccomendation!
